Michigan’s best local dishes: burgers, pizzas and plenty of specialties on the menu at Aggies Sports Bar


NAPOLEON, MI – Aggies Sports Bar prides itself on its fresh produce and surprises.

Co-owners Scott Ashe and Justin Mitchell are working hard to make changes to the restaurant and menu.

“We are in the process of upgrading,” Ashe said. ” Make things happen. Menu upgrade. We are preparing to build a terrace.

Pizza and burgers are popular, Ashe said. With new homemade soups, Ashe strives to spruce up the menu offerings.

“The important thing is the quality,” said Ashe.

The specials begin to take off with the help of a night manager and specials creator Tyler Rozelle. It could be a pork chop with apple chutney, country steak or Cajun-seasoned fettuccine alfredo with chicken.

“I’m literally going to take whatever we have and do random things,” Rozelle said. “We do cool stuff.”

Like many other restaurants, Aggies is struggling to find employees, Ashe said.

“The people I have are great people and work really hard to make this the best place,” Ashe said.

Ashe is also proud of Aggie’s involvement in the community.

“We’ve been involved in just about every fundraiser you can imagine for schools and the community,” Ashe said. “I love the community, and that’s one of the reasons we bought this.”
