In addition to the varied menu, the chefs at Jax Inn prepare dozens of daily specials, sandwiches, soups, entrees and desserts to satisfy this diverse neighborhood and offer something new to the thousands of its loyal customers. From all-day breakfast to street tacos, burgers, diner classics and house specialties, you can eat often at Jax Inn Diner and always have something different and delicious.

Relax over a delicious dinner and settle into a comfortable banquette or table and enjoy a freshly mixed cocktail, wine or beer. Professional servers will bring you a basket of breads and rolls while you review the menu and daily specials. Start with an order of tender grilled calamari in a puddle of fragrant lemon pesto sauce, topped with watercress. The fried calamari is served with a tangy tomato sauce for dipping and the grilled octopus is tender and juicy, with a nice charred finish. Mediterranean flatbread is a great appetizer to share or lunch for yourself, topped with arugula, cherry tomatoes, capers, olives and fresh mozzarella. Make it a Buffalo Chicken Flatbread with Red Onions and Crumbled Blue Cheese or a Plate of Fried Potato Wedges with Cheddar, Sour Cream and Bacon. Panko-Crusted Chicken Tenders are made from chicken breast and served with a honey Dijon dip. A classic matzoh dumpling soup, French onions or a bowl of homemade chili will warm you up and whet your appetite. The Jax Inn Diner makes the ultimate comfort food, and dinner is even better when you don’t have to cook it. Homemade Chicken Pot Pie is loaded with chunky chicken pieces, diced vegetables and creamy sauce inside a flaky pastry. A hot open roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy or a complete turkey dinner with all the trimmings will make every day better, as will a piece of meatloaf or oven roasted chicken. Back ribs are meaty, served with sweet, crispy onion rings and crispy coleslaw (half rack $20.95). The charcoal grill prepares juicy lamb chops, New York steak, boneless ribeye, skirt steak and pork chops with soup or salad, potato of your choice and vegetables for a full meal at affordable prices. The Jax Inn offers fresh fish daily, such as teriyaki-glazed tilapia, sesame-crusted Atlantic salmon, and Avalon-stuffed fillet of sole with crabmeat and lobster cream sauce .

Taco Tuesdays are fun for everyone, especially the kids, when you can order carnitas (pork), chicken, steak, shrimp or Baja fish in your soft flour tortilla, served three a la times with lime, cilantro and pico de gallo. Crispy fish and chips, creamy mac and cheese, and homemade spinach pie are other dinner or lunch favorites, and you can have any of their dishes delivered to your home or office by calling your order.

Jax Inn salads make a great lunch like Greek with stuffed grape leaves and feta, Caesar with crunchy croutons or Popeye spinach salad tossed with goat cheese, walnuts and apple slices. Two-handed sandwiches, wraps and grilled paninis are perfect for dining in or for delivery. The Jax Inn panini is made with roast turkey, bacon, arugula, brie and honey mustard. The Jax Inn makes its own juicy 8-ounce burgers in a dozen varieties such as the Max Burger with Cheddar, Bacon, Onions and Chilli ($11.95). Your favorite deli sandwiches such as grilled cheese, melted tuna, Reuben sandwich, turkey club, roast beef, corned beef, Cuban sandwich and chicken souvlaki on pita are made to order and served hot.

Breakfast is served at the Jax Inn Diner with egg sandwiches, omelettes, French toast, pancakes, muffins, bagels, bacon, pastries and more, along with freshly brewed coffee. Start your day off right with a hot breakfast to go or stay. Relax over weekend brunch here too.

Glass display cases display all the delicious cakes and pies on offer, all baked on site. Apple Crumb Pie, Cherry or Blueberry Pie, Lemon Meringue, Red Velvet Cake, Carrot Cake, Chocolate Outrage Cake, NY Cheesecake, Chocolate Cheesecake, Rice Pudding, Chocolate Pudding and Cookies blacks and whites are just a few of the goodies you’ll find here.
