Italian Chef Gino Angelini Opens Angelini Restaurant and Bar in Pacific Palisades

On Friday, February 11, two Los Angeles restaurant veterans opened Angelini Ristorante & Bar at Palisades Village in Pacific Palisades. The new effort comes from LA chef Gino Angelini of Angelini Osteria and Tancredi DeLuca of Amici Brentwood.

Both Angelini and DeLuca have a long-standing footprint in Los Angeles. Angelini started in 2001 with Angelini Osteria and opened the neighboring Alimentari in 2015. Angelini Osteria in particular has been one of the most popular and beloved Italian restaurants in Los Angeles, with great pastas like the iconic green lasagna. DeLuca’s story spans Southland with Emilia in Beverly Grove, Amici Brentwood, with Trattoria Amici and Ombra Wine Bar at Americana at Brand in Glendale. These longtime restaurant friends have teamed up to expand further west, with Angelini favorites and familiar seasonal menus just steps away from the Netflix-owned Bay Theatre.

Chef Matt Weinberg will bring Angelini Ristoriant’s cuisine to life with extensive experience from the original Osteria Angelini, as well as Gucci’s Osteria da Massimo Bottura in Beverly Hills and Bianca in Culver City. If you know Angelini on Beverly Boulevard, the menu will sound familiar as Weinberg cooks more casual fare like antipasti, pizza and pasta during lunch, complete with swordfish carpaccio, braised artichokes and cabbage bistecca. flower with pepperoncini for dinner.

There is a large patio in this brand new space with Angelini Ristorante as its first tenant, with enough seating for 70 diners. Angelini and DeLuca have plenty of restaurants in Palisades Village, with Draycott, Que Padre, Hank’s, Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill, and Alfred Coffee already open. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
