Guess the Rent for This Mid-Century Home in North San Antonio

More people have been looking to move to San Antonio in 2022. (Especially from Austin!) And San Antonio rents aren’t going down. From finding your perfect new home to negotiating rental prices, finding an apartment in San Antonio can be quite the experience. Taking inspiration from our sister publication SFGate in San Francisco, MySA reviews local properties showcasing the best, the worst, and everything in between right here in the Alamo City. Let’s guess the rent.

This week we are looking at a much larger space on the Northside in the Crownhill Park area. This three-bedroom home at 606 Marquis Lane measures 1,164 square feet.

You will notice during our walk that the house is surrounded by hotels and businesses. The house is just off I-410 near the airport. How much will you pay for this house given its location? And the pink toilets? Let’s go.

I love mid-century windows. They tend to be bigger and let in a lot more light like this living room.

Windows y’all. Give me big windows with lots of light and I’ll gravitate to that part of the house. Mid-Century Modern windows have a distinct 70s look. clerestory windows.

The dining room is right next to the kitchen. You can fit a reasonably sized table and chairs in this area. It’s the kitchen that could leave a little more to be desired.

The kitchen looks like a tight fit, but it has everything you need.

The kitchen is a little cramped. There’s not a lot of elbow room and it could get crowded quickly.

Following the parquet floor, you will reach one of the bedrooms. The color of these walls gives the light a rather warm atmosphere.

It may not be covered, but there's plenty of room for a patio set.

We end on the back yard which is pretty standard. That’s not a bad thing. But I always get asked to show the backyard. Well here it is.

So how much will you pay for this three bedroom house? The post on Craigslist says the rent is $1,850 a month, which doesn’t match the rent on Apartments.com at $1,900 per month. If you’re interested, I always say call or email anyone who’s listed on a site that pulls a multiple listings service like Apartments.com.
