Culinary delights in Vinton – TheRoanoker.com
New restaurants and exciting expansions are making dining at Vinton better than ever.
The beloved Dogwood Restaurant, a staple in the Vinton community, will soon provide even more seating and ways for citizens to enjoy their comforting southern menu, with their planned expansion, adding to their current location.
Dogwood will maintain the family scene, expanding its restaurant to a 1,000 square foot patio with outdoor seating, complete with fire pits. Manager and co-owner Jamie McCarthy says they’re hoping the updates will be completed in mid to late summer 2021, and they’re excited about the changes. They also plan to offer beer and wine, while hoping to showcase beer from nearby local breweries.
“It came at a good time with the way the pandemic has unfolded,” McCarthy said. “We had talked about outdoor seating and eventually all the pieces came together.”
New from Vinton are Big Belly Pizza Subs and Burgers, and our daily bread. Big Belly offers a variety of family favorites, from pizzas and calzones to cheesesteaks and more. Gather friends and family for a delicious weekend brunch at Our Daily Bread in their new location in Vinton, with a French-style menu featuring everything from pork belly Benedict and cinnamon French toast to steak and Vinton cheese and their French macaroons.
Foodies can also enjoy a variety of different cultures, such as Mexican at Rancho Viejo and La Casa Del Burrito Taco Shop. Farmburguesa, which is also expanding its food court, continues its service of local burgers and mouthwatering tostones representing the owners’ Colombian heritage. You can also take advantage of one of the many food trucks in the area or try one of our local restaurants while tasting an award-winning craft beer at Twin Creeks Brewing.
