7 new restaurants to try in Bangalore

Be transported to Brazil as you enter the two-storey Boteco – Restaurante Brasileiro on Magrath Road designed by architect George Attokaran. Inspired by the watering holes of the Brazil neighborhood, this 100-seat restaurant and bar is filled with vibrant hints of Brazil, from the 60-foot-tall glass mosaic mural at the entrance to the themed wallpaper of the Amazon rainforest. Enjoy coxinhas (chicken nuggets) and linguiça com mandioca (sausages with cassava fries) before feasting on churrasqueira (Brazilian barbecue). True to its name, Boteco has a strong bar which, of course, includes Brazil’s national cocktail, the caipirinha, made with cachaça, sugar and lime.

Set the tone for your evening by choosing from the vast selection of vinyl in the Record Room. Another of George Attokaran’s (Atto Atelier) designs, the place is inviting and has a relaxed atmosphere with light birch wood furniture, terrazzo table tops, soft lighting, an abundance of plants and a bank of disks lining the walls. This casual spot is ideal for a coffee, an infusion or a meeting at any time of the day. Venture into their menu of craft beers and cocktails, warmly accompanied by arancini biryani, rajma and Goan sausage croquettes and a pork terrine vindaloo.
